Machined, not moulded.
Nine hours on a five-axis mill turn a 6.4 kg block of aluminium into a 2.9 kg enclosure. The wall thickness varies by the millimetre, thickest where the cabinet wants to ring, thinnest where mass would only add weight. You cannot buy this shape in plastic.
A single point of sound.
One 4-inch full-range driver, hand-terminated, motor-matched in pairs to within 0.2 dB. Because the whole band comes from one cone, stereo images lock into place the way headphones do, but out in the room, where music belongs.
Coupled to the desk, isolated from it.
A machined foot with a sorbothane core drains cabinet energy into the desk without letting the desk talk back. Level it once with the knurled ring; it stays where you set it.
